School life

The essentials

Reception 7h45–8h15 · Lessons 8h15–14h50 (12h00 on Wednesdays) · After-school activities: Monday and Friday 15h00–16h00, Tuesday and Thursday 15h00–17h00, Wednesday 12h50–14h50.

The school is closed on Saturdays (except for staff), Sundays and public holidays.

In PS/MS, parents accompany the child to the classroom door; in GS, to the threshold until the December holidays, then to the gate from January. In primary, drop-off at the school entrance.

For a nursery child to be collected by a person not listed, an e-mail is required to viescolaire@ecolepauletvirginie.com before 12h00 (11h00 on Wednesdays) — no other method is accepted.

Unplanned absence: e-mail before 8h30 to absence@ecolepauletvirginie.com. Beyond 3 days for illness, a medical certificate is required.

Planned absence: e-mail with a reason to direction@ecolepauletvirginie.com (personal convenience is not accepted).

Beyond 3 late arrivals per month, the family is called in by student affairs, then by the management if the situation persists.

Infirmary open from 8h00 to 16h00 (14h30 on Wednesdays). Online medical form required at enrolment.

No medication is managed by the child alone: it must be left at the infirmary between 8h00 and 8h15 with a valid prescription. The 6-year medical check-up is compulsory before entry into CP. Contagious illnesses (including head lice) must be reported to the school.

A photo/video consent form is offered at the start of each school year; if it is not returned in time, the school considers that the child may be photographed. A right of withdrawal is possible at any time, for pupils and staff alike.

Access is reserved for staff and pupils outside arrival and departure times. Every visitor goes through reception (register + badge). At the quick drop-off area, the driver stays close to their vehicle.

Canteen: nursery 11h30–12h00, primary 12h00–13h00. Sweets and sugary drinks are not allowed (except at authorised events). Non-school items (games, smartwatches, etc.) are not allowed on school premises.

Participation is compulsory when outings take place during school time (including swimming). Parents accompanying swimming must obtain an “aquatic environment” authorisation, valid for 8 years.

Any breach, in particular any harm to a pupil's physical or moral integrity, is brought to families' attention. Exclusion remains an exceptional measure, decided solely by the headteacher.

Required documents, first enrolment fees, tuition fees and payment terms exclusively by bank transfer (5 % penalty for late payment). See full details on the page Tuition fees.

These rules may be updated at any time at the initiative of the Management Committee or the management. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
