Our procedures to ensure the safety of pupils and staff, particularly in bad weather.
The safety of our pupils and staff is our priority. In the event of heavy rain, torrential rain or a cyclone warning, École Paul & Virginie follows the instructions of the Mauritian authorities and adapts its operations to ensure everyone's safety.
When the situation requires it, families are informed as quickly as possible by e-mail, through the website and via the school's Facebook page. We also invite each family to follow the official communications of the Mauritian authorities.
Educational continuity is ensured through Distance Learning (EAD). Teachers post activities on the class Padlet, the pupils' main workspace. Depending on the level and duration, additional activities may be offered via Classe Numérique; teachers remain available to answer families.
If an evacuation or closure occurs during the day, pupils are kept safe within the school while waiting to be collected. Families are informed immediately; only legal guardians or expressly authorised persons will be able to collect the child.
